Stoney’s Sourdough Pizza Co. is a takeout/delivery pizza concept that specializes in making pizzas, breadsticks, garlic bread (and many other menu items) with real fermented sourdough. Founders Adam and Heidi Neher have combined their love for baking sourdough bread with America’s favorite comfort food – pizza. This has resulted in unique product offerings that are refreshing to your tastebuds and good for your gut.
The use of sourdough for our pizza crust is revolutionary to those who love pizza OR to those who typically don’t order pizza because of questionable ingredients. Our real sourdough crust is only 3 ingredients: flour, water & salt (compared to the majority of pizza restaurants, whether using pre-made crusts or handmade dough, who use many other ingredients such as baker’s yeast, sugar, oils, preservatives and dough conditioners) and gives our products an array of health benefits compared to conventional dough used at traditional pizza restaurants. Sourdough health benefits include the following: lowered blood sugar spikes, broken down gluten content that can make digestion easier, its ability to naturally preserve itself, and the fact that it’s made with only 3 simple ingredients.
